User Capabilities

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Depending on your program configuration, users may be enabled for up to real-time account-to-account settlement, account-to-card gross debit eligibility, and unlimited daily card-to-card transfers. The actual capabilities granted to any given user are determined by a multitude of factors including but not limited to the User's KYC status, the User's activity on the platform, your program's setup, and Astra's internal risk assessment.

If a user is downgraded, their capabilities will be reduced to the lowest available tier for each payment type:

  • Account-to-Accountmax_settlement_speed drops to T+4, the slowest settlement window.

  • Account-to-Card (Gross Debit)is_eligible becomes false, disabling access to instant disbursements.

  • Card-to-Cardtransfer_count_limit is capped at 1 transfer per day, and No Limit for Users that qualify based on risk profile and activity.

You can check the current capabilities for any user at any time via the List Capabilities for a User endpoint.

On the User Details page in the Astra Dashboard, you can see the same capabilities at the top right of the page.
