Guide to Statement Descriptors

Last updated: September 4, 2026

The following guide outlines bank statement descriptor examples for each primary "segment" of Astra payment solution. Per segment, where applicable, we provide an example of what the Sender and Receiver will generally see on their bank statement.

For this guide, we'll use the following values for each example:

  • Merchant of Record: ASTRA

  • Client / Program Name: OtusFi

  • Client Correlation ID: 1a2b3c4d5e

Please note that Astra cannot determine how the ODFI or RDFI will render statement descriptors to its customers.
